preparing for the surgery shelf while in the operating room all day (part 2)?

preparing for the surgery shelf while in the operating room all day, I want to make sure my approach to focusing on preoperative medical clearance, trauma ATLS priorities, and postoperative complications is solid under real exam and clinical conditions.

My acting internship in internal medicine starts next month, and I am hoping to ask the inpatient attending for one of my primary ERAS letters of recommendation. What separates a strong sub-intern from a good third-year clerk, and when is the best time during the four-week block to ask for a letter?

Always know your patient’s code status, IV access, telemetry need, and Foley catheter day count—those details show true intern-level situational awareness.
